This was an amazing day. The group rocked out their first on location shoot. The very talented Matt Bero was our special guest. He was interviewed about his beautification project on Main Street in Green Bay. Our filmmakers did everything from prepping all the equipment, hauling it to the site, setting up, etc. It was pretty magical. I would never have guessed this wasn't a professional film crew. GREAT JOB EVERYONE!!! Special Guest: Matt Bero

We practiced the format for the television show. It went AMAZING! This is going to be so much fun. I'm not going to post a video because I can't give anything away yet, but here's some fun pictures of the brainstorming and set up.
This week we talked about what's needed for shooting on location. We pulled jobs out of a hat and talked through the flowchart of who does what and who oversees who. Then each area prepped their department for next week's "on location shoot" where we will be setting up an interview with Matt Bero.
The filmmakers worked together to make a "how to" video on planting seeds. This week they divided up the jobs and each took point in one area. They also got into the audio recording booth to record the voice overs. Each person was going to say one line... that is... until Batman showed up and stole the show! Had a fantastic time learning to edit tonight! Everyone picked it up extremely fast. They put together all the clips from the "How to build a softbox" footage they shot last week. 13 inches of snow over night! Everyone was slipping and sliding on the road so we cancelled to be safe.
As a group, create a "How To" video. Each filmmaker drew out one storyboard box and then directed their box. This video was on building a softbox (light). Today we had our first brainstorming session to come up with ideas for the television show. Lots of creativity in the room and on the table!
Exercise: Each filmmaker was given the same sentence: "I'm here for you" Then each one had to direct a scene using only that dialogue. Exercise: Write down the following about yourself: "Hi my name is _______" "I like _______" "I'm good at ________" "I'm thankful for _______" Then pass your answers to someone else and they have to direct you in four different shot set ups. Special Guests: Steve Schneider and Matt Bero
