The Green Bay Rockers will host Inside Wisconsin Night on Thursday, June 16. Green Bay native and ESPN Host John Anderson is set to return to his hometown roots for the evening along with Trevor Thomas, Anderson’s co-host of the Inside Wisconsin podcast. The duo will record an episode at the ballpark while promoting a special Inside Wisconsin-themed jersey to be worn by the Rockers players that evening. All game-worn player jerseys will be posted online and available to be bid on via silent auction on greenbayrockers.com during the week leading up to the game and in-stadium that night. Proceeds will benefit the Anderson Family Charitable Foundation and be designated to support The Production Farm. Those wishing to bid will find the auction online at the Rockers website beginning on Monday, June 13. “Our Foundation’s very first project provided 500 backpacks filled with school supplies to 1st and 2nd graders at two underserved elementary schools in the Green Bay Public School System. Since then, we have donated more than $100,000 to public schools in Green Bay to support school-age children and their families,” says Anderson. “The Production Farm works closely with young people and schools on the critically important work of delivering impactful and non-traditional mental health care services. We’ve been really impressed with their philosophy and approach and appreciate how their work aligns with our mission.” Adds Wyatt Kuether, President, CEO & Founder of The Production Farm, “The need for services only continues to increase exponentially. We’re extremely grateful to the Anderson Family Charitable Foundation for a fun partnership that will help us to reach and serve more kids in need as we work to cultivate hope and healing through play, art, nature, music & community.” Inside Wisconsin Night at the Green Bay Rockers is set for the 6:35p.m. nightcap of a day-night home doubleheader at Capital Credit Union Park on Thursday, June 16. Single game tickets are available for purchase at greenbayrockers.com. - ### - About The Production Farm The Production Farm originated in New York with a group of celebrated figures of stage, television and film who wanted to give youth in need of mental and behavioral health care alternative opportunities to learn, grow and heal. Inspired by the life of late friend and fellow founding mentor Robert Goldberg, Actor Wyatt Kuether, a Sheboygan, Wisconsin native, successfully brought a variation of the original pilot program back to his home state in 2014. The initial success of The Production Farm in Wisconsin led to the 2016 purchase of a peaceful and picturesque 10-acre farm in Whitelaw, Wisconsin, where a growing number of young people receive a wide array of mental and behavioral health care offerings that are non-traditional, person-centered and trauma-informed. In 2022, the group secured a second physical location in Sheboygan Falls from which to offer its full scope of services to clients of all ages. Individuals in care are supported by a creative care team working together to tailor and adapt custom programs that encourage those served to play, connect and grow in safe and meaningful ways. It is this philosophy and approach, more than anything, that guides Marissa’s work as a Psychosocial Rehabilitation Specialist and Psycho-education Specialist at The Production Farm. Having joined the TPF team in 2020, she works collaboratively with community youth, adults, and families to express themselves creatively and develop skills for coping with the challenges life can bring. Additionally, Marissa serves in the role of the Training Coordinator helping to train new employees and provide continuing education and support to providers at The Production Farm. “I like working with families, making connections and helping make all the puzzle pieces fit. ![]() Katie Heinzen deals with a lot of moving parts. Her role as Director of Behavioral Health for The Production Farm, overseeing the care of dozens of clients across Manitowoc and Sheboygan counties, comes with a lot of requirements to meet and boxes to check. And she’s more than willing to handle all those details and logistics, because along with the paperwork comes the chance to witness meaningful positive impacts in the lives of TPF clients. “Our approach is absolutely science- and evidence-based, though it may not always look that way from the outside,” Katie says. “When you’ve seen firsthand how a slime project or a bread baking endeavor lights up and transforms a child who hasn’t seen success in other environments, it makes perfect sense.” Katie is a native of Big Bend and Hartford, Wisconsin. She earned her Psychology degree from St. Norbert College and pursued her Master’s in Art Therapy from Springfield College in Massachusetts. Right after graduation she got married and moved with her husband to Ft. Hood, Texas, where he was stationed in the US Army. From there they landed in rural Kansas, where their two sons were born. With a lot of professional experience and several moves under her belt, Katie and her young family were ready to return to Wisconsin and be closer to home and family. They settled in Reedsville, and she began searching for her next job. Funny story: she actually interviewed for the position she now holds completely by accident. A miscommunication led her to interview with TPF’s leadership team when she was under the impression she was speaking with a different organization about a different position. While it was a confusing introduction, things clicked into place and the rest – as they say – is history. When you start treating people as individuals, it enriches everything. ![]() A couple of years ago, during the height of the pandemic, The Production Farm’s President, CEO & amp; Founder Wyatt Kuether reached out to Erik Foat about assisting with needed facility updates and repairs at the Farm’s Whitelaw campus. That interaction marked the beginning of Foat’s path to becoming Facilities Director for TPF, which now includes a new facility in Sheboygan Falls (see article above) as well as the Farm in Manitowoc County. To say Erik grew up in a big family is an understatement. Born in Appleton and raised in Neenah, he counts himself one of 22 children. His mom and stepdad generously served as foster parents to dozens and dozens of children, 16 of whom they adopted into their family. Growing up in this environment led Erik to pursue a teaching degree from UW-Oshkosh, and he taught in an elementary school for several years. But, he says, “The current model of schooling constrains both the teacher and students. I left because I disagreed with the philosophy of teaching every child in the exact same way, especially seeing kids struggling within the confines of that model.” It’s officially spring in Wisconsin – hooray! – which means it’s a great time to help grow The Farm by supporting us through Flower Power Fundraising. MANITOWOC/SHEBOYGAN, Wis. – The Production Farm (TPF), a non-profit mental and behavioral health service agency that specializes in person-centered, creative programs offered through the lens of trauma-informed care, today announced the purchase of a former church in Sheboygan Falls. The facility joins TPF’s Farm in Whitelaw, in Manitowoc County, as a physical hub for the organization’s non-traditional mental health care services. “We have been steadily growing our presence in Sheboygan County and the need for services only continues to increase exponentially,” says Wyatt Kuether, President, CEO & Founder of TPF. “Having this space allows us to be much more hands-on, efficient and impactful. We expect to be able to double the number of clients we serve in the near future.” Located at 621 Broadway, Sheboygan Falls, the 100-year-old building most recently housed the Pentecostals of Sheboygan County. At 17,000 square feet, the facility will house a community food pantry, clothing resources and a hygiene closet with personal care items – starting with items collected during the recent Help for the Homeless Hygiene Drive in partnership with The Family Radio Network. |
